About Us

Galway Volleyball Club was founded in 2012 combining the local Polish team with the National University of Galway Women's Team (Now University of Galway).

Originally known as Tribes Volleyball Centre, we partnered with local schools and communities across Loughrea, Oranmore and Galway City. Eventually, we registered as a National League Club with Volleyball Ireland in 2014

In 2024, we centralised our club in Galway City at St Marys Sports Hall becoming what Galway Volleyball Club is today.

Since our creation in 2012, we have grown and solidified our status as the largest volleyball club in the West of Ireland
